The 18th Printing is erroneously stated as the 17th Printing on its copyright page and can be distinguished from the actual 17th Printing by the printer’s key.
The 14th and 16th Printings were issued as a Book Club Edition.* These can be distinguished from the trade editions by the lack of a printed price on the front flap of the dust-jacket. Additionally, the jacket’s back cover is blank.
This edition is similar to the 1986 Book Club Edition and the 1987 Revised Edition but can be distinguished from them by the following features: page top edges stained, headband, ISBN and ‘6-97071’ printed on bottom right corner of jacket’s back cover, color of boards, spine design and copyright page (with number line). The book club edition for this 1978 Edition shares these attributes except for that the jacket’s back cover is blank.
