At least thirteen printings issued (ending with the 94th Printing).**
With the 20th Printing,*** minor cover changes were introduced:
– the price was moved from the front to the back cover
– adverts were added to the back of the front cover
– a solid white box with black border was added beneath the price on the spine
Book Club Editions (as well as trade editions) have been seen for the 10th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th and 21st Printings (some of these lack bar codes on their back covers).
RRP: $5.99; $6.99 with the 20th Printing. Sold in a set with The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers.
