The year of publication (1963) is stated on the title page of both the 1st and 2nd Printing.
Jacket price: $3.50; $3.75 with the 2nd Printing; $4.75 with the 6th printing; $6.95 by the 8th Printing. It seems the 7th Printing‘s jacket was unpriced and a publisher’s sticker was used, possibly due to the price changing more frequently than jackets were printed.

**To improve the layout of the book, the order of poems was altered for the Allen & Unwin 2nd Impression (which the US First Edition was based on) in order to have Baynes’ illustration for the poem ‘Cat’ adjacent to it. However, ‘Cat’ and the poem it was switched with (‘Fastitocalon’) are referenced by number in the preface. This was not updated to reflect the change in layout and remained in error until the publication of the HarperCollins 2014 Pocket Edition (edited by Christina Scull and Wayne G. Hammond).
