Edited and compiled by Robert Foster, this encyclopedic reference book (among many other entries) incorporates material previously published in the science fiction fanzine Niekas (some of which was revised for this publication).

1st Printing: 1971 – 750 copies
2nd Printing: November, 1971 – 459 copies*

The 1st Printing consisted of 750 numbered copies bound in black novelex. The illustration on page 145 was removed for the 2nd Printing to incorporate the missing entry for the letter ‘J‘.

RRP: $5.95.

*Although the last page of the 2nd Printing states that approximately 5,000 copies were printed, the management of Mirage Press (Chalker and Owings) have stated that “1,202 copies were bound in cloth, with 743 as a trade paperback” (ISFDB.com).
